Radiant Barrier Foil
Radiant barrier foil is a sheet of reflective, metallic foil that blocks radiant heat from your roof, keeping your home cooler and saving you money.
Radiant Barrier Foil is a durable, two sided aluminum foil product that works on the same principles as radiant barrier spray, however radiant barrier foil blocks 97% of the suns’ radiant heat compared to 80% reflectance of the spray product.
During the installation process, long sheets of foil are stapled to the bottom of the rafters, creating a solid sheet of radiant barrier that keeps the heat from your sun-heated roof from your ducts and ceiling. Mills uses double-faced radiant barrier foil with a nylon scrim in between the two layers making the foil extremely tear and puncture resistant.
