Upgrade Insulation On Oncor’s Dime.

The Oncor Insulation Rebate is back in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for another season!

What’s the deal?

Oncor Electric Delivery maintains the poles and wires that deliver electricity to your home.  Regardless of your retail energy provider (TXU, Green Mountain, Reliant), chances are you’re also an Oncor customer.  We can easily verify for you.

Oncor is required by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (P.U.C.T.) to reduce the peak summer electricity demand transmitted over the grid.  Oncor does this by providing incentives to energy efficiency contractors (Mills) to help offset the cost of installing attic insulation, floor insulation and weatherstripping.

The specifics:

Rebates can be as much as 75% of the total cost of the upgrade and are determined by several factors including 1) the current level of insulation in home, and 2) the type of heating unit in the home.  Homes with a low level of existing insulation and the least efficient heating type (electric resistance) qualify for the highest rebate amount.  However, gas heated homes can also qualify for significant rebates.  We can verify the rebate amount with a brief inspection of your attic and HVAC system.

The Oncor Insulation Rebate requires Mills to bring the insulation in the attic to an ending level of R30 (11.75″).  An Oncor inspector will even come out to your home to verify that the work was performed correctly.

Funds for the Insulation Rebate are limited so call to set up a free consultation today.  No one knows exactly when the funds will expire so the best advice is to act now!
